DIO Architecture (DIOA) is a Vancouver, Canada–based design firm specializing in architecture, water parks, tourist attractions, and immersive entertainment destinations. OUR LEADERSHIP
DIO HO Architect AIBC, LEED® AP, M.Arch
Dio is a Canadian architect and LEED Accredited Professional with over 25 years of design experience, recognized for shaping dynamic, world-class destinations. He began his architectural career in 1999 and, after earning his professional license, spent seven years in Vancouver as a project architect, specializing in commercial and residential developments and building a strong foundation in complex, large-scale design.
In 2010, Dio joined WhiteWater—the world’s leading supplier to the water park and attractions industry—as Director of Design. In this pivotal leadership role, he set the creative direction for projects worldwide, overseeing all design initiatives and leading a multidisciplinary team of planners and designers. During his tenure, Dio delivered landmark water park and attraction projects for globally recognized brands, including The Walt Disney Company, LEGOLAND, Wet ‘N’ Wild, Great Wolf Lodge, Ocean World, and Center Parcs. His portfolio in China features high-profile developments for Chimelong, Hot Go, Yinji, Overseas Chinese Town (OCT), and Wanda—further strengthening his reputation for delivering impactful, market-leading experiences.
In January 2019, Dio founded DIO Architecture (DIOA), a Vancouver-based firm dedicated to innovative entertainment design. The studio provides global architectural and park design services across Concept Design, Schematic Design, and Design Development—transforming bold ideas into compelling, buildable realities. From water parks and theme park expansions to flying theaters, edutainment facilities, and zoological attractions, Dio and his team create immersive, memorable environments designed to stand out in competitive markets, enhance guest engagement, and drive repeat visitation.
